1 · Who this vehicle is for
Groups of 5 to 8 people. Above four passengers, the Vito costs less than two saloons and saves having to follow each other on the road.
Families with a lot of luggage. Ten items is a full week for six people, equipment included.
Passengers looking for the fair price. This is our reference vehicle for fares: the prices shown on the home page are the Vito's.
2 · What is on board
- Wi-Fi on board, on request to the driver.
- Bottled water provided.
- USB-C and Lightning chargers, 12 V socket.
- Approved baby seats and boosters on request, at no extra cost.
- Eight real seats with three-point belts.
- Separate boot — luggage does not travel on your knees.
- Non-smoking vehicle, cleaned between every journey.
An appropriate restraint is compulsory up to age 10 or 135 cm: the standards in force are set out by the French road safety authority.
3 · Vito or V-Class: which to choose
The question comes up often, and the answer is simple:
- There are eight of you → Vito, it is the only one of the two that takes eight passengers.
- Seven or fewer and you want maximum comfort → V-Class, for its seven individual seats and legroom.
- You are looking for the best price → Vito.
In both cases the winter equipment, flight tracking and free waiting are identical. The service does not change, only the cabin does.
4 · In the mountains, in winter
Winter tyres from November to April, chains on board, and a drivetrain suited to resort climbs. The Vito climbs to Val Thorens, Tignes, Alpe d'Huez and Avoriaz all season.
Our drivers check the state of the road before every climb and shift the departure time on changeover Saturdays, when the Tarentaise valley saturates. Better to leave twenty minutes later than to sit two hours in the Moûtiers traffic.
The municipalities where winter equipment is required from 1 November to 31 March are listed by the French road safety authority.
5 · What it costs
The fares shown on the home page and on the destinations grid are the Vito's. That is our baseline: the other vehicles are compared to it.
On airport-to-resort routes the price is a fixed fare, the same whatever the traffic. It moves only with the season (high season) and, on certain resort-to-resort routes, the weekend.
The price is shown before you pay anything. Enter the pickup, the destination and the date: the Mercedes Vito amount appears in about thirty seconds, and that is what you will pay.
